Information on Air Fees & Taxes
Please read the following carefully.
Unless otherwise indicated, Companies listing fares on Travelzoo may not
include all applicable taxes, charges and government imposed fees. The
following overview has been prepared to give you an idea of what additional fees
and taxes may apply.
Passenger Facility Charges:
Passenger Facility Charges (PFCs) of up to $18.00 USD may apply depending upon
the itinerary chosen.
Federal Excise Tax: A federal excise tax of up to $3.40 USD does apply per flight segment, if
this tax is not included already in the advertised fare. A flight segment is
defined as one takeoff and one landing.
September 11th Security Fee: A September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 USD applies per flight segment. A
flight segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing.
U.S. or International Departure and Arrival Charges: U.S. or international
government imposed taxes and fee of up to $200.00 USD may apply depending upon the
itinerary chosen.
Shipping & Handling Fees: Some travel companies or their agents may impose shipping and/or
handling fees if you request paper tickets or for certain types of transactions.
Service Fee: Companies listing offers on Travelzoo may charge a service fee.
Itinerary Changes/Cancellations/Refunds: Itinerary changes, if permitted
for the fare, may have a change fee of up to $150.00 USD that will vary by
market, carrier and specific fare rule.
*Terms and conditions:
All fares are one-way. All fares are non-refundable and a $75 fee per person applies to any change made after purchase, plus any applicable increase in airfare. Ten-day advance purchase required. Seats are limited, subject to availability, and may not be available on all flights. Tickets must be purchased by November 10, 2009. Sale fares are valid for travel through February 10, 2010. Lowest sale fares are valid for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Additional sale fares are valid for travel on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Blackout dates are as follows: November 25, 2009, November 28-30, 2009, December 18-20, 2009, December 22-30, 2009, and January 2-3, 2010. Service to/from Charleston, SC ends December 3, 2009. Service to/from Key West, FL begins December 17, 2009. Service to/from Nassau, Bahamas begins December 17, 2009. And service to/from Aruba begins December 19, 2009. A first bag may be checked for a fee of up to $15 per person and a second bag may be checked for a fee of up to $25 per person. Reservations may be obtained or changed through an AirTran Airways Telephone Reservations Center for an additional $15 per person. Fares, routes, and schedules are subject to change without notice. Fares shown do not include Airport Passenger Facility Charges of up to $18. The September 11th security fee of up to $10 is not included. Fares do not include segment taxes of $3.60 per segment. A segment is defined as a takeoff and a landing. Fares to/from Puerto Rico do not include additional government taxes of up to $32.20. Fares to/from Mexico and the Caribbean do not include additional government taxes of up to $100.
